The harmful impacts of fossil-fuel-based engines on the environment have resulted in development other alternatives for different types vehicles. Currently, batteries and fuel cells are being used automotive industry, while promising progress maritime aerospace sectors is foreseen. As a case study sector, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was considered. goal novelty this its analysis possibility providing 960 W power UAV with weight 14 kg using hybrid system lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery proton-exchange membrane cell (PEMFC). dynamic performance analyzed considering three load profiles over time optimized condition. PEMFC main supplier power, intervened when high demanded immediate response to changes load. Additionally, operating temperature C-rate were characterized by state charge better indicate overall system.
